Andrew Hoben is a professional pianist, trained operatic tenor, choral conductor, and educator based in New York’s Hudson Valley region. He has been in the performing arts since he was 13 years old and has grown into reputable pianist and sacred music professional.

Andrew started his performance career while in high school, where he took on several operatic and theater roles with the Phoenicia International Festival of the Voice. A 2020 graduate of Manhattan School of Music, Andrew had several impressive performances in New York City, including a Times Square pop-up performance of One Day More, where he sung Marius, a solo set under Washington Square Park’s Monument in a Music in the Parks series, and several roles through the school’s opera program. Andrew was the tenor for two opera premieres at NYU and sung frequently with the Columbia Bach Society. He has performed at Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, St. John the Divine, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and at Lincoln Center with the New York Philharmonic. Andrew’s operatic credits include Tamino in The Magic Flute, Albert in Albert Herring, Ferrando in Così fan tutte and several others. While at MSM, Andrew studied under Mark Oswald and the late Marlena Malas. He has sung alongside some of the world’s best singers.

Through the years, Andrew has shifted his focus onto sacred music in the Catholic Church. At 14, Andrew became the assistant music director at his home parish. In 2020, immediately following his graduation from Manhattan School of Music, Andrew accepted the role of Music Director at St. Joseph’s Church in Kingston, NY. Most recently, in September of 2025, Andrew accepted the position of Music Director at St. Stephen the First Martyr Parish in Warwick, NY. There, he programs and prepares music for Sundays, Christmas, Holy Week, Easter, weddings and funerals, and countless other feasts and festivals. He leads over 60 singers in three different choirs, including a traditional Catholic choir, a folk choir, and a children’s choir.

Andrew has a deep passion for teaching and sharing the joy of music with future generations. After his music studies, Andrew obtained a BA in Psychology from SUNY New Paltz. He has crafted a unique style of accompaniment and education through the mending of these two areas- music and mind. He teaches out of his home in Lake Katrine, NY and always accepts new students.

Outside of music, Andrew has a passion for languages. By age 21, he had learned Spanish, Italian, French, and German. He loves gardening, reading, traveling, and spending long weekends camping with friends.
